Rock of Vegas: Free Concert Series Coming to the Fremont Street Experience
If you’re a fan of concerts, bands from the 90’s and Downtown Las Vegas, you may want to check out Rock of Vegas, a free concert series at the Fremont Street Experience that will start this month and continue through August. The free concert series in Downtown Las Vegas will kick off Memorial Day Weekend with Vince Neil , legendary singer of Motley Crue, and runs through Labor Day Weekend with a performance by the ultimate glam metal rocker, Dee Snider , legendary singer of Twisted Sister.
The 2012 movie Rock of Ages, starring the ripped Tom Cruise, shined a spotlight on the genre of rock music from the late 80’s and early 90’s including Guns N’ Roses, Poison, Styx, Journey and Bon Jovi. Soon after, the musical, Rock of Ages, hit the stage in Las Vegas at the Venetian in early 2013 and is still rocking on.

Now, Fremont Street Experience is bringing the rock experience to Downtown Las Vegas in their Rock of Vegas, and the best part is that it’s free.
“This is the fourth summer concert series at Fremont Street Experience and this year Rock of Vegas will bring the classic rock hits of the ’80s to life with plenty of power ballads and guitar shredding,” saidJeff Victor , president of Fremont Street Experience. “Downtown Vegas is a fun place to see a concert and offers one of the best values in Las Vegas. All the concerts and stage shows are free, plus downtown hotel-casinos offer great deals on room rates, gambling and many food and drink specials.”
The Fremont Street Experience has been dubbed the entertainment district and features a pedestrian mall, the world’s largest video screen and nightly sound and light shows. If you haven’t experienced the Fremont Street Experience, this may be a great opportunity for you to do so. Be sure to break out the teasing comb and hairspray first!
