Working With Bloggers
Bloggers have an established social media following and create content for both their readers and for users searching online which increases your Search Engine Optimization (SEO) by writing about and linking to your products. The established loyalty and trust that bloggers have with their readers is translated into loyalty to the business.
As women, we naturally love to share and talk about our favorite products with friends which has been the case decades before the internet or social media changed the rules of PR and marketing. Now, social media is bringing this natural form of marketing to a whole new level. This is known as the “Girlfriend Marketing Factor”.
“… bloggers are successfully leveraging social media to collaborate and communicate about the products they use, what’s happening within their families and what they’re interested in. They share their blogs via Facebook and Twitter expanding their reach to a broader network of friends and friends of friends, creating on audience of people interested in what they have to say. I can’t help but see how this type of natural-feeling collaboration has value within the enterprise.” -Forbes Magazine

From Twitter Parties and Tweet-Ups to Pinterest Contests and Blogger Events, the ladies of RECESS have been hosting social media events for local and national businesses for years. In fact, Toni Spilsbury recently wrote about How To Throw A Great Blogger Event.
“A blogger event gives you intimate access to influential bloggers who will write about, tweet about and talk about your product, event or service. As a professional blogger, I’ve both hosted and attended many blogger events in the past and have experienced what works, and what doesn’t.”
One of Toni’s recommendations was to find a network of the right niche of bloggers.
