The Linq: A New Open Air Retail Experience Coming to Las Vegas In 2013
Caesars Entertainment has a new experience coming to Las Vegas scheduled to open in late 2013. The 200,000 plus square feet open-air retail and dinning space will host the worlds largest observation wheel of its kind, reaching 550 feet tall.
The wheel, named The High Roller (obviously), will boast 3.5 million pounds of steel and will be the anchor to the retail district. The High Roller hosts 28 spherical cabins and carry up to 1,120 passengers at a time. One rotation will take up to thirty minutes to complete, giving you plenty of time to take in the beautiful views the city of Las Vegas has to offer. Evening rides should be breathtaking when mother nature offers up some of our cities amazing pinky-orange sky views!
The LINQ open air market space will host over thirty unique venues including retail, dinning, and entertainment. Bars and restaurants will make up seventy percent of the urban outdoor space.
The Las Vegas shopping experience already rivals other major detestation cities and I’m betting this project will drive our economy in it’s recovery efforts even further. An estimated 3,000 construction positions will be generated by the massive project. Once complete, The LINQ will also support 1,500 full-time employees to boot.
The best thing about the Las Vegas strip is that it’s always evolving and meets the new needs of our beloved visitors. Not only offering astounding sites and must see destinations, Las Vegas has shown resort driven economies how not to become obsolete and outdated.
