Sarah Silverman Rocks $60 Dress at Emmys
Sexy, Smart & Funny… and Frugal!
Listen up ladies, Sarah Silverman proved at last night’s Emmy Award Show that being frugal can be oh so sexy. While some Emmy-goers spend tens of thousands of dollars to “wow” on the red carpet, like this Swarovski crystal Armani dress that reportedly cost Cate Blanchett $40,000 at the 2007 Academy Awards, it’s fun to see a star sporting a frugal find to a big awards show.
Sarah rocked the red carpet in this dress from Deadly Dames which she purchased online at Pin Up Girl Clothing for $60. “Doesn’t it look good as anything fancy and expensive?”, exclaimed Sarah while being interviewed by Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet at the 2013 Emmys. The ladies of RECESS, answer “Yes!”, Sarah, the dress absolutely fits your personality and style.
With a “pin up” flair, the black dress was form-fitting and gave Sarah the perfect va-va voom figure. The look was accentuated by a dazzling cuff, hot pink lipstick and the perfect Veronica Lake sexy hair style.
What would I have done differently? Typically I would say that I don’t care for black shoes being paired with a black dress, but in this case, any other shoe choice wouldn’t have pulled off this timeless look as well as these platform black suede pumps did.
I would have, however, had a lot more fun with the bag.
Black hair, little black dress, big black pumps and…. a tiny black clutch? I would have switched it up with a funky bag like this little beauty from Alexander McQueen.
So was Sarah’s no-fuss dress a hit? We’ll find out from the experts this Friday when I’m sure Joan Rivers and her crew will be weighing in on the Sarah Silverman’s unconventional Emmys awards show dress choice.
