When it heats up in Las Vegas I have one thing on my mind…an ice cold drink! One I often reach for is a cherry limeade. Something about the pretty pink tinted juice and refreshing burst of sour lime says summer has arrived! Sheena, of Hot Eats and Cool Reads, was kind enough to share this cherry limeade recipe with Recess. Just in time for the long dog days of summer about to hit the valley.

Cherry Limeade Recipe via Hot Eats & Cool Reads

1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/2 cup sugar
1- 2 liter bottle of lemon lime soda
1- 10 ounce jar of maraschino cherries, with juice
lime slices, for garnish

Directions:
Chill all ingredients before using.

Combine lime juice, sugar and soda in a pitcher. Add cherries and lime slices, stir. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving!
